The licence fees are used to cover the costs of the XertifiX office, which is responsible, among other things, for coordinating the audits, reviewing the audit reports, the certification decision, public relations, standard development and acquisition (see also: How we work). XertifiX runs an office with one employee in Hannover, Germany. The employee is paid based on the payment for employees of public service. So far the cost for this office and the employee needs can be covered by the XertifiX licence fees.
The fees for the audits are used to pay for the audit costs (auditor’s payment / travel expenses of the auditor).
